We are looking for an Editorial Lead to join our London office and that can help us to create highly engaging content to build a strong community.
By working side by side with our Head of Content, you will help us to deliver our mission of spreading real stories to inspire positive change.You will have a huge amount of curiosity and understanding of people and be inspired by them to create meaningful and deep connections.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Day-to-day management for team responsible for ideating, scripting, and creating content to be published across Freeda's channels;
- Responsible for identifying and commissioning stories based on cultural moments and conversations and relevant global and UK news;
- Manage the weekly calendar of content to be published on social platforms;
- Use audience insights and community feedback to ideate and iterate on formats and stories;
- Serve as an editorial quality check for all content published on Freeda’s English social channels;
- Collaborate with filmmakers and producers to develop video stories and series.
ABOUT YOU:
- Experience in digital media;
- A deep understanding of media, social publishing and a passion for stories with a purpose;
- Editorial judgement: you know what makes for a powerful narrative, what the broader cultural conversation is, and who newsmakers and culture-shapers are;
- Experience scripting, producing and editing multimedia content in a fast-paced media environment;
- Strong writing and editing skills – you can write and edit a caption or a script into a compelling and editorially sound story;
- Ability to work in a fast paced, tenacious and creative environment with a variety of people. If you thrive in a fluid startup environment then you will love Freeda;
- Strong people skills and some experience in managing editorial teams.
